Backyard patios and paths shaped to the yard, with the fall set right — Mesa, Maricopa County.
A patio is a shape and a slope. The shape is the part people talk about — how far out from the back door it goes, whether it wraps toward the corner where the shade is, where the walkway leaves it and how wide that walk has to be for two people to pass. The slope is the part that decides whether you like it. Every patio and every walkway we build gets a fall set into it on purpose, away from the house, toward somewhere the water is allowed to go. We work around what is staying — an existing slab, a mature tree, a line running somewhere nobody ever mapped — because on a Mesa lot there is almost always something already there.
On the old flood-irrigated lots the grading fights you. That ground was shaped to hold standing water for a few hours, and a patio needs to get rid of it in minutes. Add a monsoon storm that drops more water in twenty minutes than the yard sees in a month and where the runoff ends up stops being a detail. It gets decided before the ground is opened.
Water, rock, grass and shade — the whole yard, by one crew.

Tell us what the yard needs — pavers, turf, concrete, a sprinkler zone that stopped, a palm nobody has touched in years — and send photos on WhatsApp if it is easier. We work in English and Spanish.
